Comfort and Convenience/Features

One particularly glaring difference between these two models is the amount of standard features offered. The base TLX is more generously outfitted than the base Q50. The TLX has two memory settings for the driver’s seat and side mirrors. It will also remember 2 specific temperature settings, so all you have to do is get in and drive. The Q50 can be outfitted with these memory features, but you’ll have to spring for an upgrade package to get them. Certain options available on the TLX — like ventilated front seats — are not available on any Q50 trim level.

Value and Economy

The Acura TLX is lauded as a great value because it costs thousands less and often outperforms comparably equipped rivals. Because of Acura’s next-generation engineering, even the V6-equipped TLX models get better gas mileage than many of their counterparts — including the Infiniti Q50. Since the 2015 Acura TLX starts out so much lower than the Infiniti, it’s affordable to add premium packages. You can build a TLX with all the bells and whistles, and still come in at a lower price point than base model on the Infiniti.
