Performance and Power

The Acura ILX Hybrid has a 1.5 liter, 4-cylinder engine and uses the Integrated Motor Assist from the Honda Civic Hybrid.  The electric motor is used to provide a boost of power when needed, and converts energy from brakes into electricity which then recharges the lithium-ion battery pack.  The gasoline and electric motor combined produce 111 horsepower and 127 pound per foot of torque.

The Acura ILX Hybrid also features unique performance-oriented gearing to generate fuel efficiency of 39 miles per gallon in the city and 38 miles per gallon on the highway.
