Performance
Let's take a look under the hood. The Acura MDX has a beefy 3.5 Liter V6 engine that pumps out 290 horsepower and 267 lb-ft. of torque. It's quick, responsive and can reach a top speed of 155 miles per hour. The latest improvements in the drivetrain come from a new 2017 Acura MDX Sport Hybrid. The all-wheel drive hybrid will have a combination of motors: an electric motor assembly on the front axis, two electric motors for the rear and a 3.0 liter combustion engine. It's all managed by a seven speed, dual clutch automatic transmission.
Interior
The interior of the 2017 MDX is a feast for the eyes and comfortably seats seven passengers. There is refined leather on the seats and leather on the heated steering wheel assembly. Premium trims have black limba and olive ash options for authentic wood-grained paneling. Yes, it does look a lot like the previous model, but there are some subtle improvements. There is more leg room for the front passenger because the dash has been pushed back a few extra inches. The instrument cluster has also been simplified to provide the driver with all the vehicle's most vital information without any distracting clutter.
Features
There is absolutely no shortage of technology features on the 2017 Acura MDX, but Acura is being tight-lipped about the full extent ahead of a wider launch. It's got four USB-charging stations for your mobile devices. Sirius XM Satellite Radio is standard. There are two monitors in the center console, separating navigation from the entertainment system. You can link your smart phone to the MDX and go hands-free with BlueTooth capability.
